Description
Janeways was a school with a long tradition, but when Caroline Anstey the Second came as a new girl and hot-headed rebel, she was determined to stop all the silly traditions there.

Caroline's great-great-grandmother had been Caroline Anstey the First, and her great-great-grandmother, her grandmother and her mother had all been pupilts at the school.

The first Caroline had been the first head girl of Janeways, and the school was very proud of her.

All this had been more than the revolutionary younger Caroline could bear, and she found herself up against the school authorities at once.  All that was a source of pride to the rest of the school was a source of scorn to her, and she dragged her two little friends, Robin and the Irish Ethne in her rebellious wake.

Things were very lively at Janeways for a while, but in this fascinating story we are told how Caroline became as loyal a member of her school as her great-great-grandmother had been.

There is not a dull page in this book, and no one can help but love the perfectly delightful Caroline the Second.
